Quality inspectors examine product and material for defects or deviations from specifications and report results. Perform product testing to verify compliance to pre-defined engineering and quality requirements utilizing various inspection tests and tools.
Weld Defect Detection and Qualifications
Performance of Quality Checks
Read blueprints and specifications to inspect, test, and/or measure material or product being produced and/or received
Monitor standard work procedures to ensure production standards are met
Use various measuring devices/equipment such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers to ensure that parts and components meet blueprint, specifications or other established requirements
Place on hold all product and material that fail to meet specifications
Communicate inspection results with those responsible for product/material
Record and report inspection and test data; completing Incoming Discrepant Report (IDR) or Material Reject Ticket (MRT) when necessary
Ability to adapt to changing requirements based on production needs
Must demonstrate flexibility based on changing department requirements (overtime, shift coverage, etc.)
Perform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety rules
Must maintain attendance and punctuality standards as established by company
Perform other duties as may be assigned
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred 1+ year in a Quality welding position or related welding experience
CNC and Plasma Math
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use basic gages
Ability to complete and pass Welding Training Class
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds alone, 80 lbs. with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Manufacturing environment. Noise level is moderate. Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety and personal protective equipment as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
